what happens to the previously agreed upon flow-thru for Eagle pilots to AA, or did that already go away

Ok, satpak, normally, you are one of those here who are on the ball. But, seriously, have you been on a 6 month meth bender or TDY'd to Zimbabwe with no internet?

P.S.--Cliff notes: Big $h!tstorm over the arbitration to permit flowthroughs after the agreement dropped dead and declaring TWA guys who got furloughed (not ALL TWA guys, just some who were "special" in the eyes of the arbitrator) "newhires". I believe the flowthrough remedy will remain post-divestiture.
 
Several top managers from American Eagle have been making trips to Bombardier to look at the C-series. Rumors say Eagle might order 150 C-series aircraft very soon.
 
Only if the aircraft were all on the same certificate. Since Skywest keeps ASA as a separate certificate and operation I assume they would do the same with Eagle if/when they bought it (avoiding any scope issues).

Yes, I believe you're correct. Like Republic and Chitaqua. But there are still scope issues involved. If AE were to be sold to Skywest, even if it operated on a separate certificate, it would not be permitted any aircraft larger than 50 seats. AE would no longer be an "affiliate" controlled by AMR, but rather a "Commuter Air Carrier" . At least that's my read of it.

Maybe that's AMRs plan, however. Bring 70 seat flying back to AA with no restrictions on aircraft number, size, or route. And then farm-out dwindling 50 seat flying to the cheapest outsourcer.
 
After Eagle is spun off, what prevents them from operating the C-series? There is a reason Eagle still has two operating certificates.
 
Again, who would they be operating them for? There will not be an AA left. This is not just about APA. Think APFA, TWU etc. AA will go into the history books.

hahah actually I have not kept up with the Eagle flow-thru stuff. I ** believe ** there was a drop dead date and it expired, but I am foggy.
