aviationinterviews.com is a very helpful site, but should be re-named airlineinterviews.com. does anybody have any other sources of interview gouge/prep for corporate flight departments or pilot jobs? i guess since the hiring is done on such a smaller scale, information may not be as widely available as it would be for airtran or others. in general, what type of prep would you corporate jet drivers out there advise. any info appreciated.

Here's the best corporate interview prep money can buy:

Q: Do you play golf?
A: YES!

Q: Do you drink beer?
A: YES!

Q: When can you start?

I'm in 604 recurrent as we speak - even Flight Safety TUS is beginning to understand the importance of BBQ - you should see the load of BBQ chicken they brought in for their weekly customer lunch.

Anyway - about the interviews - it varies by the company and the person. Most corporate guys are more interested in what kind of person you are and wether or not spending 5 days on the road with you would be an enjoyable experience or a miserable one so expect alot of questions about you and not so many about aviation. In the handful of corporate interviews I've been thru I've never really been asked any technical questions about systems or anything else. But it does depend onthe company - some do written tests, sim evals, etc - just depends.

I'll second CL600s comments. I've never been asked a technical question on a corporate interview. Nor have I ever been asked if I played golf or drank beer. I have, however, taken a psych / personality test.

I've even had an employer call and interview my wife to see if she'd be willing to move and got her thoughts.

Since most come from internal reccommendations, they already have some idea who you are...

I also have never heard of a technical question being asked, aside from - "how do you like the ___ you are currently flying?" if thats technical...Many of the Fortune 10 companies WILL do a simulator ride though...no matter what your background.

Many WILL question your desire to be away all over the globe....I have been asked about family, how they feel about you being away?...etc...all in a non-intrusive way...quality of life is a big concern. Guys have actually showed up for GIV,GV,BBD-700 jobs and said they didn't like doing overnights?? duh....

I have been asked about hobbies...never about drinking beer....I think that one is just a given these days...:D :D
