I would not go some place you would hate being stuck at for 7 years.

Sounds like most colgan-ers hate colgan and I bet most of em have not been there 7 years.

1. You came to Flightinfo for career advice? Now THAT'S priceless.
2. See #1
3. See #1

Here I'll finish this thread- Blah blah blah blah lowering the bar blah blah blah threw up in my mouth a little. We can all go home now......

I'll play it by ear. if they offer me a job I'll take it, gain some experience and then part ways....
Does not matter what aircraft you fly because you will be hanging off the tail for the next 8 months in 121. Choose the quality of life you want and who offers the most to you, not just who will hire you first.
First year regional pay scales suck no matter which company or equipment you fly. Most of the guys on these site's will tell you one is better than the other, more pay more BS. Colgan Q pay initially was low not LOWEST we have been given a pay increase that most Jokers do not know about. Make your decision based on what you want not what this site tell's you should do.

It's all about me. I don't care about other pilots. If I can get the time and money what's it to you. Sure I'll have good schedules for awhile until the low timers can upgrade but it's all about me.

Isn't that what this job is all about? Forget everyone else and look out for #1?
I think that everyone in here is smoking crack, It is NOT a COLGAN pay rate it is a PINNACLE pay rate.
Most of us who are whoring ourselves out at low payrates are just looking to make minimum payments on our debt's. So what we should all do is quit our jobs and well show them? Then what dig ditch's or run a computer for their crappy wages.....................

The Flying at colgan is excellent experience. Down low in the wx gets you up to speed fast. Typical legs range from 30 min to 1:30, so you get to do it lots of times a day.

WTF?

Who wants to fly down low in the weather?

Why would you want more legs? More legs = more work.

Sounds like a classic case of SJS (or I guess SPS)...

You can get hired at almost any regional with low time these days. Why not go to a decent one in case you do decide to stay for awhile? Jumping around after a couple of years is not going to help advance your career.

2.time to upgrade are two big considerations.

2. Completely true, as well as connections at the airline you are trying to move on to.
