Allegiant doesn't hedge and it maintains a 15%+ profit margin flying the gas guzzling jalopy of the skies!
go figure!

Nothing against Allegiant. They've got a good thing going & I hope it lasts.

It's just a totally different "thing" than a "major".......as you all know.

Should be pointed that a hedge isn't just a gamble investment- money wise- it allows the company to price appropriately - taking a variable cost and making it fixed.
