Would anybody know where I could find out more information about hiring and general employment information about Era Aviation in Alaska? Or Pen Air?

Thanks

here is a little info

Email your resume with your total time to:

[email protected]

For the time being penair is going to be your option. Era has been reducing their fleet of twin otters and going to get some 1900s but due to the loss of the aircraft they are well staffed for the time being and to my knowledge will not be hiring in the near future.

What is it you are looking to do, because there are several other carriers in Alaska.

Hey Thanks.

It’s been a while since the last time I’ve been up there. I don’t have any Alaska flight time officially logged in by book. So…I was looking for a flying gig that requires two pilots, just to get my bearings straight for a while.

If you know of a website or other places around… I would definitely be in interested.
What other carriers would you recommend?

well

There are a couple other carriers to get time with:

Grant and hageland both operate 1900s for pax

alaska central express little ace flies them for cargo

and there are evertts and northern air cargo that fly other bigger planes for freight.

These are out of Anchorage, the rest of the state's bases I am less familiar with.
I flew for Arctic Circle Air and was the only FO in the company, I have been replaced after I left, but if you have the time check them out

Thank you!

I don’t want to sound greedy. But what type of pay could I expect if flying for Alaska Central Express or any other Alaskan place?

PenAir, Pay, Hiring!!

Penair is starting their F/o's at 1100/11. That's $1100 base and $11/flight hour. You will fly 1200-1400hrs/year so do the math. We still have a 2 year training contract, but the pool is drying up, don't be afraid to negotiate.
This is out of the local Anchorage paper:
PILOT IN COMMAND. Regional airline recruiting 135 Pilot In Command (PIC) positions. ATP+ 500 Alaska time required. Ground school starts in September. Wage and schedule negotiable. 121 FIRST OFFICERS. Open positions for First Officers based in Anchorage. Minimum requirements: 1000 hours; Commercial, instrument and MEL ratings. Competitive wages + excellent benefit package. Email resumes to: [Click here for email]. For more info contact Ruth Davis, Human Resources Director at [Click here for email] or 907-771-2523 or fax 907-771-2664 Equal Opportunity Employer

How olng does it take to upgrade?

Oh about 4 years from 300 hours to left seat in an SF340.
Of coarse your results may vary...
Turn-over is generally slow with Captains.
Kinda hard to find a nice flying job that gives you the option of being home every night ;) and three days off every week.
