Hey guys does anyone know anything about either Addison Jet center or Addison Express. I know they are both on demand 135 ops. Can anyone tell me about QOL, pay, benefits...good and bad things about the companies. Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks you guys.

I heard through the grapevine that the chief pilot at Addison Express is in the pool at Southwest. If you're asking about QOL and such, you shouldn't be looking at any 135 carrier. I haven't heard of too many on demand places where you don't go there, get your time, and then move on to a good 91 or airline job where QOL and benefits are an issue. Good luck.

Of course

Of course that's the point, and thats really what I'm trying to do. I'm trying to get some TURB PIC and then get me a good 91 or 121 gig. Anyone else know anything else?

isn't Martinaire (C-208's) and Cherry Air based in Dallas area?

How about Teddy Bear Air, B-200 air ambulance?

Part 135 turbine freight is better than Part 135 I am rich-I want to charter-a-Learjet-to-Cayman operation that operates out of the back of an FBO

Cherry Air is based in Addison. Flybet, if this helps answer some of your questions: most of the pilots at Addison Express are former Cherry Air pilots. They left Cherry Air for better QOL.

so I've heard

Yeah, that's what I've heard...I got a lear type and I dont plan to use it at a sh*thole like scary air. I've been away from home and my wife enough, no way am I going to fly broken lears for peanuts, and be on the road for 2 to 3 weeks at a time. Anyway, so I'm guessing not many of you guys have some real indept info on Addison Jet and Addison Express. Or if anyone has any info on any other 135 or 91 companies in the DFW area. Thanks

Addison Jet is more in need of Citation III qualified people than Lear people at this time. They are looking to keep people qualified in two aircraft. Pay is ok but the schedule isn't.

yeah

Yeah I recently spoke to the chief Pilot and it's always the same BS of "well we still dont know, stay in touch, check back in a couple of weeks" I've been hearing that BS there for more than a year

Addison Jet pay is 36k base plus per diem. New CP says the total annual salary around 52K. They want folks who are current and qualified in the Cit III or, you pay your training and they'll use you. No bennies, 4 hard days/month. They're building a new hangar and should be finished early next year. Apparently, the previous CP took the type and promptly bailed on them...so they want any newbies to sign a year training contract.

Airnets passanger charter AKA Jetride has two 60's based at DAL. They are constantly hiring all over the country. DAL is on the bid sheet ever so often. Pay is good schedule is ok and getting better. Check it out at www.airnet.com . Hope this helps.

Kewl, yeah the old CP thing was kinda funny, anyway I spoke with their new chief pilot about 2 months ago...she's a really sweet heart, she called me to offer me a job and by then it was kinda late, I already had one offered. but she did get my friend a job their and he's pretty excited about it....seems like an Ok company for a 135. Thanks for the info anyways PilotA

I know all those people...Wanna be gone 25 days a month??? It's not the best place in the world. I know the chief pilot and former chief pilot and they are really swell. It's gotta say something when the chief pilot resigns to go back to the line. It's the owner. Nuff said. If you go there, plan on leaving in six months.

Those looking for a piston pic freight job Telesis is about the best place to be in the DFW area....

Don't worry about the training bond it is on the way out and most do not sign it. The flying is pretty good, pay better than most and equipment is old and worn out just the way you like it...... but on the upside, they do have good training and good people (mostly)...... get your exp. and build some time after six months take off, they are real good about helping you get to the next job if you will hang around 6 months and do a good job, they do not want you to stay much longer than that anyway........you will start inbreeding........ anyway they are looking now for pilots and quite a few.....you will need around 1200 tt and 180 mel, but if you even close to that get them a call.

Flybet,

I don't know your flight times, but Flight Options is hiring a lot currently. We've picked up about 10 pilots/month in the last four months for the Beechjet. You have a set salary, guaranteed 15 days/month schedule, and no PFT crap. They are hiring for the DFW domicile now. You must have 1500TT, 300 Multi, and 100 Turbine. Since you say you have a Lear type, I would assume you meet those qualifications. They have their issues there (you can dig up other posts in the Fractional forums), but it darn sure beats 135 work (I came from that 24/7 pager crap).

If interested, go to their website at www.flightoptions.com and click your way to the careers section and post your resume. I've heard that the call-back time is very quick if you're in Dallas.

PM me if you have specific info needs.

regards,
