Hutchman said:Alteon was about $100 cheaper. Here is the kicker, Higher Power uses the Alteon simulator. Same sim.
I ran out of time and didn't get to prep for the sim. I am glad I didn't pay the $$, it would've been a complete waste.

It is a good thing I had a good IOE Check Airman for my E120 IOE...its the only way I was able to pass the sim ride for CAL in all actuality.
Seriously though, I used Alteon and highly recommend the prep. Totally put me at ease about the ride and it went very smoothly.

reospeedwagon said:when you guys interviewed, did your times match up EXACTLY on the Airapps application compared to your logbook? If not, what was said in the interview about it?
tmac3333 said:FYI...I was told during my interview that the MD-80 sim is going away soon. Someone apparently has purchased CAL's MD-80 sim, but the guy who was my evaluator didn't know who bought it and when it was going away. He said he'll know when someone "picks it up and takes it out of there." My understanding is that they are going to 727 sims instead of 737 sims due to the high usage rates of the 737 sims.
SRJ said:Thanks for the help. What is the difference if you interview in IAH or EWR? How long after panel interview in EWR did you hear back from CAL regarding the sim scheduling?
