As the title suggests, just wondering if anyone knows which aircraft a newhire FO would expect right now or in the next few months.

Thanks!

It is a total toss up right now. Lots of 777 guys being added to the seniority list at the moment along with a hand full of 330 joiners.

Thanks

I'm seriously considering giving Emirates a shot (just haven't hit submit on the app) but have heard it's a whole different lifestyle on the 777 as opposed to the 330.

Very true. Keep in mind that when the 330's are retired over the next couple of years, the Boeing will probably get some or most of the nasty trips.

Why not hit the send button and come out and have a look instead of just a sniff? Nothing to lose. You won't think you've been kidnapped for at least six months after you've been online....

Quick question not related to the original topic...

How often can one score a stretch of days off between trips at Emirates? ...say 4-5 days off? Do they frown upon leaving Dubai on a ZED fare (say to europe) when you have a stretch of days off?

Going off of my recent experience I'd say the most you can reliably get is three days off in a row. But they don't care what you do on your days off as long as you keep yourself legal to do your trips.

On the other hand, get stuck in europe because of full airplanes and miss a trip and you're in deep sh*t...

You don't know until you sit in the sim. people have been switched from one to the other on the last minute. But if you get in on the 330 you'll be switching the lights off on that fleet... There's no growth there anymore and the airplanes will be phased out over the next years. What happens after is a big question, but as of right now there are three different scenarios:

- Switch to the A380 and go back to the end of the line for upgrade (Very likely)
- Switch to the 777 and go back to the end of the line for upgrade (Possible)
- Switch to the A350 and go back to the end of the line for upgrade (Very unlikely, as the airplane has fallen out of favor with TC)

BUT if you get on on the 777 life will be pretty good, as the rotating bid systems assures you a pretty good lifestyle for at least a few months a year, and even mid to bottom bin months can be quite good.

It's always safer to sniff before you eat it. Going to submit it today. I've heard with all the people currently in the pool, might not hear anything for a couple months anyway.
