What going on over there? I was furloughed in JAN. and haven't been keeping up with the latest info. How far back are the furloughs at the present point? Is it still doom and gloom?

PS- CVG kicked A$$!! You guys were awesome.

So things are basically the same as I knew a couple months back. It get worse and worse. Good luck (whats left) guys.

Thought I just read that your load factor passed 70%? That's gotta be helping...no?

Not when you sell seats for $44. 70% LF would be great if tickets cost 1.42 X our cost.

The usual suspects have been in the crewroom saying that the restructuring will provide us liquidity thru the begining of 2006 but I have serious doubts about that. At the end of Feb. we had $120 M in the bank. Even if we cut our burn rate in half that would still have us out of cash by the end of Oct. Our BELF is in the triple digits and duing the month of March we burned $20 M according to the latest info. With a burn of $20 M a month we've cut our previous burn by a third, and that would put us out of cash at the end of Aug. Obviously, we need cash or the price of oil to drop dramatically.

I still have a couple of friends that are barely hanging on and wish everyone else the best. As pilots the only things we can do to help save our employers after givebacks are continuing to be professionals and not running that godd@mn APU. With the oil prices, it's got to cost more than $1 per hour now...tailwinds.

Got my "F" letter today 4 1/2 years, 4 bases, 2 airplanes, 2 seats - Had a great time there (CVG was the BEST) - but it's a blessing in disguise I think - will miss all the 328 times in CVG and startup in LGA though - it will never be as good as that was...on to greener pastures...
