You guys may already be aware of this, but a friend of mine said that air wisconsin was now hiring primarily for their RJ's right there in Dulles. Could be a good opportunity, top notch company, great regional pay. Please don't jump on this post, may be a rumor, just trying to help out.

It's true. Anyone interested can stop by the AWAC crew room in IADand find out more details. Unfortunately I don't know the timeframe of interviews. We are talking about hiring 50-100 Indyguysand gals.

thats great, I saw on one of the interview gouges that showed a furloughed pilot (maybe Indy) interviewed and was hired the other day with them

They just interviewed and hired me about a week ago. Havn't gotten a class date yet, but they are putting people into the CRJ at IAD.

Anybody know if they would put ppl. in front of me with prior CRJ experience for their class' or is it going to be first come first served.

Thanks

Usually, they put you in indoc class on a first-come basis. No promises though, if they have enough RJ qualified people, they may run a class just for them. Otherwise, the guys with prior CRJ time are probably going to split off after indoc to do an accelerated systems and sim. Seniority is by age in your class, oldest to youngest.

That seems like a lot of people. Has anyone heard anything about the UAL bid? I hear that something will be announced on Friday.

Our new NEW bid goes in on Friday. Doubt we'll hear anything Friday. From the fleet manager he said we were looking at 25-50. He wasn't sure exactly how many were going to eventually be hired.

Something for ACA pilots to consider.....Unless somethings changed, AWAC does require that new hires resign their old job and give up furlough or recall rights. They had a letter typed up for us to sign and then they send it off on the first day or two of class. I imagine that's an easy decision for someone low on the list but a tough one if you're close to the top.

This is all good news, especially for people that live there in Dulles. Correct me but I have heard over and over those papers you sign you recall rights away are worthless. It's up to Indy if you can be recalled no one else. How would another carrier enforce it? Talk to you system CP . . .

so you know they aren't making ex indy pilots give up there numbers anymore. Heard it from them when they were here this week.
