Alright ok, how about this one. Taking off one night, a guy kept getting gpws pull up terrain warnings. Guy writes up GPWS for false alarms after returning to hub. MX can't find anything wrong so they pull the FDR. FDR indicates that the guy departed a mountainous airport and came within 100' of hitting a ridge because he took off and turned left instead of a required right turn. Calculated performance showed that they really shouldn't have outclimbed the ridge. Is that more believable?
