Alright ok, how about this one. Taking off one night, a guy kept getting gpws pull up terrain warnings. Guy writes up GPWS for false alarms after returning to hub. MX can't find anything wrong so they pull the FDR. FDR indicates that the guy departed a mountainous airport and came within 100' of hitting a ridge because he took off and turned left instead of a required right turn. Calculated performance showed that they really shouldn't have outclimbed the ridge. Is that more believable?

Yeah, that's believable at any airline though,

Since the 'bus drivers all have years of RJ experience, I'm gonna call bravo sierra on your story. I don't believe any captain with 10+ years experience is going to buzz the trees for TEN MINUTES without pushing that little red button and tugging back.....or that 150 pax wouldn't have said something to the news about the "near death experience over Lake Conway/Lake Toho.

And so it went for 9 minutes at 180KTS, taking out cell towers and several rollercoasters at Disney. The Capt. got a sprained wrist from turning the heading bug to dodge the big pylons downtown. The biggest pylon was the load of turd that I heard here. Nice try, though.

Well it is my understanding that in some airplanes this is an approved procedure (like some turboprops with prop brakes)... Or leaving an APU running.

Or so I am told. don't shoot the messenger.

Hmmm...I don't believe that leaving an ENGINE running when you head off to the hotel is an approved procedure at ACA/Indy.

We've had plenty of guys walk away without shutting down engines here too. But I didn't bring this up. Somebody else brought up this other story about low level devil.
