Also, there's a $18,000 bottle of wine on the wine list!

If you're REALLY good, you can hide that on the expense report... ;) TC

You think they'd question it if you claimed "St. Elmo's" was an FBO and that $18,000 bucks was a Jet-A purchase ???

Thanks folks.

Not a big race fan but we might check out the race as well.

You gotta go to the race, man! It must be experienced if you have the opportunity. The whole week before is one big tailgate party. If you're into people watching, see the race from the infield. If you're into racing, I recommend seats in Turn 1.

Network like hell in the bars near the track. Try to get a pass to Gasoline Alley. I got really lucky one year and got to drive(er.....ride) around the track(in the back of a Suburban.) It was interesting to see the track from that perspective.

$18,000 would be to much for a load of fuel in that "baby jet".

Order the one with the screw off top.

Mobie

Not if it was from a Signature....

Actually, the last time I was at Signature PBI I told them for that price they should pour the Jet-A in to the aircraft from Champaign bottles. I don't think they like me there anymore...

French De-Icing fluid (Type IV)

If I ever drank something that expensive, I'd feel obligated to do something with the urine!

I live right near downtown indy (not by choice). I am not a race fan but the night before the race is a HUGE party. Lots of women lifting their shirts and more, if your lucky they may even have a full set of teeth. DT indy isn't bad, pretty clean place. Nicky Blaines is really nice, kinda upper class (snobby). Howl at the Moon is pretty cool, it has dualing pianos and a nice layout. Everything is within walking distance, so transportation is no problem. Broad ripple on the other hand I personally think is horrible. Every bar looks like a 10x10 room and is fully packed. Great for the 21-24yo demgraphic, otherwise not to fun. Stay DT and you will have a pretty good time.

chickenpilot,

There has never been a surplus of flying jobs in Indy. The large quantity of taverns and cigar bars have been established to help us get over that fact. Also they provide distraction and anguish relief from the IRL commercial that use to be the Greatest Spectacle in Racing.
