Iknow this has been ask before but does anybody have any leads or ideas jobs in the Indy area. Ready to give up the commuter flying and get back to corporate. Any help would be appreciated.

Try Aviation Charter Services. There's a 135 outfit up at Executive (Terry) but I don't know the name. Good luck, IND has always been sparse.TC

Vitesse Aviation has a couple of Hawkers and Citations out of MQJ, as AA said there are various aircraft out of Indy Executive (TYQ) and ACS at IND. Good luck, you are searching in a very hard area to find good quality work.

Any info on Indianapolis - going there for the 500 in May?

Resturants pubs etc

Downtown is awesome. Stay at any of the hotels there. Westin, Marriott, Hilton. Go to Rock Bottom Brewery, Howl at the Moon, Circle Centre Mall, a few cigar bars on the circle....you'll have a good time. Talk to AA for some of the top secret places to go!

Hit up the Hollywood Cinema Drafthouse downtown (across from the Spaghetti Factory). Havent been there in a year or two, but they have (had) good food and reasonable prices. Great way to kill a few hours and catch a meal too!

For steak, try St. Elmo's... If you're thinking about race weekend I doubt you're going to find any hotel rooms anywhere near Indianapolis if you haven't already booked them.

There's an ad on aviationcareer.com for a King Air 200 FO and a Beechjet 400 FO position. The job ad says its for a Northern Indiana charter company but does not give the specific city.

PM me if you would like more details.

Forget the steak... try the shrimp cocktail sauce... :D

Ask the FBO how to get to Broad Ripple, it's on the NE side of town and lots of bars within walking distance...or so I've heard

Thanks folks.

We are satying at the embasy suites downtown.

Looking forward to some steaks and cigar bars....

Not a big race fan but we might check out the race as well.

Anyone have the names of any specific good cigar bars in Indy? I didn't know they had these. Are they directly on Monument Circle, or just scattered around downtown?

Broad Ripple is a good place to go bar hopping. Check out The Vogue for what I think is one of the best clubs in Indy.

Great cigar bar called "Nicky Blaine's"....

Not cheap but a pretty good spot and it's right downtown...

As for "The Vogue" it is full of a bunch of people dressed up like the 2 dudes in "A Night at the Roxbury" . Many other better bars in Broadripple that are a bit more down to earth.

Watch out for the shrimp cocktail @ St. Elmos'. Good but painful (I literally went blind for a second as I downed a cocktail sauce covered shrimp; the people sitting at the next table started laughing when they saw my reaction-they had tried it earlier and were waiting and watching). Also, there's a $18,000 bottle of wine on the wine list!

If you're REALLY good, you can hide that on the expense report... ;) TC

You think they'd question it if you claimed "St. Elmo's" was an FBO and that $18,000 bucks was a Jet-A purchase ???

You gotta go to the race, man! It must be experienced if you have the opportunity. The whole week before is one big tailgate party. If you're into people watching, see the race from the infield. If you're into racing, I recommend seats in Turn 1.

Network like hell in the bars near the track. Try to get a pass to Gasoline Alley. I got really lucky one year and got to drive(er.....ride) around the track(in the back of a Suburban.) It was interesting to see the track from that perspective.

$18,000 would be to much for a load of fuel in that "baby jet".

Order the one with the screw off top.

Mobie

Not if it was from a Signature....

Actually, the last time I was at Signature PBI I told them for that price they should pour the Jet-A in to the aircraft from Champaign bottles. I don't think they like me there anymore...
