My post wasn't meant as a slam, just constructive criticism. If you are looking for a job in a certain geographical area, especially one as competitive as Southern California it is best not to look or sound like an outsider.

It has been awhile but wasn't there a big Lear operation out of Carlsbad that flew target towing aircraft ? Might want to look there.
