In&Out Burger near LAX

I am looking for places to take some of my family to eat a quick lunch and have a great view of LAX's flight path. I have been told by a view people that an In-n-Out near LAX was the best place to go. I have no idea where it is, so if someone could give me directions or some some cross-streets that would be great. Also, if you know of any better places to watch the airplanes let me know even if it's not a place to eat, thanks.

I've walked to it on a layover before, its practically on the airport property. If you go out to Sepulveda Blvd and go left (north) about 3 blocks it is on the left. Corner of Sepulveda and Lincoln Blvd. Gets very busy at lunch, but you can sit outside and watch the arrivals and departures at pretty close range. Good food too, but you already know that.

The directions are right on, just be careful walking there late at night. Not the worst part of town but not the best either. If you have a car and some time there are a few parking garages to the south of the airport you could probably sneak into and drive to the top for a cool above view....

I've been to that In-n-Out, and it's a great place to watch planes and get your snack on. Just don't let on to anyone that you're a pilot, and fo' sho' don't go in uniform!
Remember that this is the airliners.net crowd that is there taking pictures, and you will be a rock star. That could be good, but will probably be bad...

If you want a little better grade of grub try the Proud Bird it's on Aviation I think. Right by the approch end of 25L. A little pricier, but they have a bunch of mock-ups of old planes and a great view of planes landing.

The proud bird is an awesome place.....great view of the airplanes.........as for the in n out, it's on the corner of lincoln and sepulveda, and theres a little park right across the street that's right...and i mean right under the approach path of 24R......you often see people with their cameras n stuff there.....

I don't know if you can get to them any more, but the sand dunes west of the runways were always a favorite of mine...right at the departure end of the 24s and 25s....good stuff

I have to remember to go to the proud bird also. I've heard of that place, but haven't seen it. I definitely want to eat but I'm more into watching the planes fly over as close as possible. My family should get a kick out of it for sure.

Boom Trenchard's (Windsock?) next to Jimsair -- and there was also a 94th Aero Squadron at Montgomery Field. Good times ... good times.
