I wasn't aware that Phillips was pushing the boundaries of automotive/aeronautical technology so far in the Eighties! :D
 
That must be one of those "cars of the future" they have been talking about forever. Let's you drive in traffic and then go to the air when it gets too hectic, whatever. Anyway, I'm sure that thing gets about the same gas mileage as your typical soccer mom SUV.
 
Imagine the range/endurance of that thing! The payload probably ain't too much though.
 
While I am not a designer of aircraft, it sure would appear that the CG is waaaaay to far forward......especially with a full load of fuel:)
