Hey guys,

I'm curious, just how important is having a current aviation job to get an interview at regional airlines? I currently am doing about 10 hours a month of freelance instruction, but I'm not too sure how much that counts, if at all. Otherwise, I'm getting a great deal of flying in, but not employment related.

And yes, I know I have low time, I'm not thinking for right now, but starting to look towards/plan for when the time comes.

Thanks much!

Fly more. Multi time in the 30 days is key, say you want about 20 hours a month. Land a few MEI students. Try to get about 60 or so flight hours total a month. Competition is growing and more guys and gals have more "recency" if you don't do this.

Good luck! I was in the same position and made it work out.
