IFR Flight Plan from Private Airport

Yes. You can file a flight plan from anywhere. Did you ever file in the air?

Having said that, there may be a problem with "the computer" being able to recognize the airport ID, so you may need to file as if you were in the air.

You can work out that detail with FSS when you file.
 
You may also have to provide the lat/lon of your departure point.
There could be an issue with departing IFR, you may have to maintain VFR/ obstruction clearance to a certain altitude, etc.

This was really my question. The airport I'm going to use actually has an identifier on the chart even though it's PVT so I'll try to feed FSS that.
