Ok, I know I'll probably get sent to the penalty box by "the man" for calling it out like this, but am I not the only one here who thinks ifly4food is taking his moderator editing and thread closing privledges to censor the FlightInfo membership? I see two threads today that were completely altered since the contents were obviously not to his liking.

Obviously much of what is posted here is not really relevant to most mature discussions. But it seems that normally when a poster will attempt to "stir the pot" the active membership will call them out for what they are. Self-policing. This is why most moderators will let threads run their course... after all we are adults.

This isn't just a recent occurance. I've noticed this trend over time. I guess we will wait and see how long this post will last, and if I will end up in the penalty box like another member for offering a negative opinion of a moderator.

It is their website, but given some of the back and forth insult competitions that many if not most threads degenerate into, it did seem a tad bit arbitrary to suddenly decide that politics are taboo.

Correction, it is Mark's website.

ifly4food has zero ownership of this site.

I'm sorry you're unhappy, FlyChicago. Thanks for letting us know how you feel.

Keep in mind that this is a privately owned forum, and firse ammendment rights do not apply (aka censorship). Mark, the owner has asked the moderators to undertake certain tasks. The forum rules you agreed to when you signed up state what it allowed, and we are tasked to enforce those rules.

I heve been a moderator here for four years, and true Flightinfo veterans will tell you that I very rarely take any action. I edited the threads to remove name calling, and irrelevant (to the thread and forum) political mudslinging, respecectively. If you can't live with this, or continue to criticize me for the very rare use of the moderator panel, feel free to frequent a different forum.
