Here are just a few examples of this guys obvious hypocrisy as well as vulgarity, inappropriate tone and clear abuse of his power as a moderator. He touts his supposed authoruty with the danger and immaturity of a kid who found his daddy's gun. Please remove this persons moderator status, he clearly is not ready for the responsibility.

No, the general got a week off for being a prick.

This IS a dictatorship.

You and all of the other Widgetheads on the ALPA board have been bashing RJs for years and I'm sick of it.

I CAN make you go away.

Boortz is an arrogant prick, just like all the other radio blowhards.

You should seek counseling to overcome the hardon you have for RJs and RJ pilots.

You , sir are an uber-douchebag!

You're in the penalty box for a week, Ty. My comments were tongue in cheek. You need to lighten up or find a new sandbox. Next time, you're out permanently.

Well mods and webmasters. Is this the type of person you want representing the leadership at Flightinfo.com? Would Mark have approved? Responses welcome.

Looks like IFLY4FOOD has been outed in a big way. Get him out of here. See ya commuter boy.

See, skykid......Why the he!! do you have to make a derogatory remark against those working for Regional/Commuter airlines, as if they are somehow inferior, second class to a 'major' pilot????? Why do you guys have these attitudes???? This eletism is the one thing that makes me question this profession, and these boards. You dont like If4f's remarks, yet you make one like that.

Stop caring what people think about you. Do you really care that somebody called you a "commuter" pilot? Come on. This is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard on this board.

PCL_128 - Proud COMMUTER pilot.

I dont care what anybody thinks of me,or what they call me, so I sure hope you dont care what I think of you. You miss the point. These boards are filled with one group that constantly looks down at another group. And the worst part is when these eletist, I'm better than you, I know more than you, I'm better than you blow hards like GL troll the REGIONAL boards to hijack the threads and consistantly put those people down, I have a problem with that! SO, what is it to you? Quit trying to tell me what to think.

YGBSM. I suggest you also hang up your guns here son, or at least start by looking up the word sarcasm. What are you, a commuter pilot or something?

Dear 79%N1, I also have to wonder about your agressive reply. Commuter boy, rj boy, flyboy, boeing boy; these are terms of endearment. The previous pilot posting is obviously upset with the inappropriate behavior of the named moderator. He was simply saying ciao. This is not so hard to understand. I used to be a commuter boy myself. Happy flying.

You consider "Commuter boy" derogatory?!!

BTW, his use of "commuter boy" was in response to AND to aggravate the IFFF’s resentment of being labeled as a "Commuter." Certainly not an insult by any stretch. In case you haven't noticed, everyone on these threads has been branding this adolescent as a "Commuter" or… as "prick," etc., which is something for which he banned the General and/or has used himself.

Most of the REGIONAL airlines of today were called COMMUTERS in the past. The RJ has allowed those airlines to now expand to other regions, and soon the REGIONAL term will be outdated. But, I didn't mind telling people back then that I was a commuter pilot. I flew planes between cities that many people could drive cars between in less than a day. Today it would take many days to drive the same distance an RJ normally flies.

Bye Bye--General Lee

I agree Gen. Lee. But on the same note, these RJ's are flying the region of North America. Same for our counterparts in Europe. I think the word regional may have been accurate up until 1995. On the other hand, there is not a brand-airline, stand-alone operation flying regional jets (regional jet being the size of approximately 30 to 70 seat jet). If it is, it has failed or is likely to fail soon. I always called myself and referred to this type operation as commuter because they're feeding a certain airline brand under contract or code share. To me it is a more accurate term.

Origin of Commuter pilots

I do agree that the concept of Regional Jet now incorporates the "North American Region..East of the Rockies Region...West of the Rockies Region...etc.

On another note, I thought the genesis of the term "Commuter Pilot" was that these were the guys that flew the planes that the REAL pilots commuted to work on.....but I could be wrong.....

Funny

Just got done reading IFFF's posts and looks like there is quite the double standard. He should have banned himself a couple of times for comments he himself has made. Sounds like the dude as a bit of the Napoleon complex going on...

Hey 79%, gee, I wonder if that commuter boy comment had anything to do WITH MAKING FUN OF THE WAY GL GOT KICKED OFF!! Sorry, I wont use any more sarcasm around you.

By the way, feel free to call me a
1. panel boy (727FE experience at FedEx)
2. trash hauler (see above)
4. gas passer (KC135 experience)
5. tanker toad (see above)

I wont get my little feelings hurt, promise.

If by Napoleon you mean Napolean Dynamite. :) Heck I wish I was a commuter pilot. That way I'd have a chance to fly mainline routes in actual mainline cockpits rather then my way cool 'regional' airline.

Heck I was:

1) Ditch Driver (Grand Canyon)
2) Island Hopper (AIA)
3) Puddle Jumper (SkyWest)
4) Commuter Boy (Above)
5) Prop Jockey (Above)
6) Switch Bitch (NWA 727 FE)
7) Unemployed
8) Bush Pilot (Baja)

Non of these bothered me in the least. At the time all that mattered to me was that I was a pilot.

Get over yourself N1 & IFFF COMMUTER JOCKIES!!

Baja.

Ya never hear freight dogs complain about bein called freight dogs....

I guess if ya look in the mirror and don't like what ya see, don't look in the mirror

I don't live in my domicile so I guess I'm a commuter too.

All you bunch of no good scooter trash/commuter dogs need to get a life! Quit crying about being called what you really are you lilly livered weenies.
Oh wait a minute I am a former scooter trash, commuter boy, freight dog guy. Nevermind.

I move that we drop the labels "commuter pilot" and "regional pilot"... let's just call them what they are: "feeder pilots".

Grow up folks. Commuter, regional, major, corporate, airline, freight, student, and dumb are all adjectives that we can add to the noun "pilot"...

He was completely out of line and got carried away. But this is a classy move, the world needs more people who own up to their mistakes. Thank you for doing the right thing IFFF.

Yeah, he did the right thing by resigning, but realize that he never apologized for what he did or the way he handled it. It would have been classier to admit that he was out of line instead of just taking his ball and going home.

He did apologize to the General, but you're right, his "apology" was a lame way of just taking his ball and going home.

Gee guys, for some of us using the word "commuter" just means we're old farts. It has nothing to do with bashing anyone's job or airplane. It's just hard for me to keep up as I lose brain cells in old age with the new words.

And IFly4Food took his toys and went home. Like he should have. It takes a little more objectiveness and maturity to put up with our bunch!

I think if I were working for Delta right now, I would not degrade anyone in the aviation business. Your company is a cluster of twisted egos and bad leadership and is sinking fast. Just an opinion from someone who is a hell of a lot smarter than you.
