Really? A 5th year reserve on the 756 makes $7530/month. For a 12 yr XJT CA to make $9530/mo at $84.54/hr (preconcessionary rate, not sure if it snapped back) he has to credit 112.73 hrs a month, or 7+03 pay for every one of 16 work days to get 15 days off in a 31 day month. We had good work rules at Express, but not that good! Care to send any more BS our way?

Also, while I agree with you 100% that sick pilots need to call out and not contaminate the rest of us regardless of pay implications, exactly what should they trade their DH IRO trip for? Have you seen open time lately?

Sadly with all the Jr man, rolled days off and enhanced red flag going on crediting 112 wouldn't be that hard.

No the real problem at CAL is, and I quote.

"I'M JUST OVER 60, AND SCOPE RELIEF WOULDN'T TOUCH ME! I COULD USE THAT EXTRA BANG OF 5 YEARS WITH A NICE PAY INCREASE".

And yes before you ask he was an OPPORTUNIST.

That is the problem at CAL

This will change in March... PBS gave me a nice working block of 9days in a row... 3 Europe trips in 9 days... "yes i did set max work block 6days! DM5"

FUPM

Then get off the 757 and you will stop getting the constant beat-down. That fleet is a joke - 12-15 days off, constant backside of the clock flying, no Int'l o/r, $hitty per-diem. I laugh when I hear guys complaining, but then think the 737 is so below them.

It's all about quality of life and schedule - I'll take my 17-19 day-off 737 schedule any day. I also have 120 hours of sick time but have never been junior-manned and never have picked up open.
