Have heard that some Delta pilots are already complaining...is this true? If so...DALPA, you should be ASHAMED of yourselves! How bout backen up your Union Brothers!

Just because some Delta pilots are complaining doesn't mean that DALPA is also angry. I would imagine that the DAL MEC supports you completely. If Newie talks with Captain Moak and lets him know what's going on, DALPA might even be willing to send out an email to the pilot group to let them know to be patient. In general, the Delta pilot group has always been supportive of the ASA pilots. You guys helped them out when the CMR pilots told them to f*&% off, and most of them remember that. If guys are complaining, it's probably just a vocal minority.

DL customers are not happy this weekend. ASA on time Friday 48%

LEt them sue our ALPA we will just file B'rupt just as everyone else does.COOK the books!

SLOW IT DOWN....

Americans are tired of being sh$t on while BODs make millions....

I don't think they'll sue. They probably realize that they'll just piss off more pilots if they do that, and their performance will get even worse. Same situation at UAL during the "summer of love." UAL management was trying to work some important business deals, and they knew that taking the Association to court over the slow-down would just make the pilots angrier, increase their problems, and make their business dealings with Wall Street that much harder. Delta is currently in the process of trying to make their product more appealing: adding jetbridges to RJ flights, remodeling the C concourse, transferring rampers and gate agents from ASA to DAL employment, etc... They need cooperation from the "line swine," and fighting a legal battle is not in their best interests. If you guys can keep this up for a significant period of time, then Delta management will probably pass the decree down to JA and friends that it's time to settle this contract.

That's the key, sustaining it. It worked in '98, so keep it going!

I remember.....

Just in case you've forgotten, you should be reminded that Delta and American pilots were both sued by their respective companies for "job actions". Online forums were a source of information for management to base their claims.

I was in DFW when American had it's little "slow down." I don't think the two events can be compared...
American's union quite literally to a federal judge to "go f himself" no crap. They were totally setting themselves up for that lawsuit. Also-those suits were based on union boards-where there is no expectation of anonymity.
We are all adults, we all have choices. When we go to our union boards, we are all warned to be careful about expressing views which could be construed as endorsing a "job action"
Flightinfo is the essence of free speech-we can all say what we want, just like in the crew lounge. The only qualification is that here we have a reasonable expectation of anonymity. We are not necessarily ASA pilots, if we may be, there is no reasonable expectation that we are active pilots, that we are union members, or that we are even flying the line at all. There are a few posers around!
I believe we can all read whatever is posted here, take it whatever way we wish, and draw our own individual conclusions.....

-This is the very basis of free speech! The situations are not even close to being similar.
