Check out this page. and scroll down to see the 747 and A340 flightdecks. These folks, while having a GREAT deal of time on their hands, are quite the craftsmen.

Or, got to the bottom of the left screen and check out the guy who one-upped everyone by getting an actual 727 cockpit for his flight sim.

I'm not sure I'd call these people losers. While I might question their sanity the technical prowness is somewhat astounding for a bunch of amateurs.

I've been heavily involved in a few hobbies, a few times to the point of insanity. I've seen a lot of guys go over the deep end in the R/C model area especially, but HOLY S***! These guys need girlfriends....... BAD! They even have uniforms. A lot of pilots give John Revoltya a hard time about wearing a uniform when he flies, but at least he is ACTUALLY FLYING!!!!!

I agree with the above posters that if they channeled HALF the energy they've put into these fake airplanes, they could be "living the dream".........

Maybe they plan on giving type ratings with these things. God knows they can't be any worse than the Delta -200 sim I did most of my training in......
