Does anyone have any info on how long Indy-guys can j/s on the United Express carriers? Mesa, Trans States, and Air Wisconsin in particular.

Mesa air group until the 12th

ASA is also giving jumpseat privileges through the 12th. Wish it were longer, as we have many furloughed ACA/Indy guys/gals are flying for us now.

Good Luck to all of you FLYI guys/gals!

As you are certainly aware, Independence Air ceased operations on Thursday, January 7th. While our industry is extremely competitive, we also share a unique connection with all of our fellow airline employees. The entire Republic Airways family extends our sympathies to all of the Independence Air employees and their families for the difficult time that lies ahead due to this unfortunate shutdown.

In an effort to assist Independence Air crewmembers in ‘getting back on their feet” in their time of need, the Republic Airways family of airlines will honor Independence Air jumpseat requests until Friday, February 10th, 2006. All “jumpseaters” must occupy a seat in the cabin and may not actually occupy the cockpit or cabin jumpseats.

This “jumpseat” courtesy is extended to both Pilots and Flight Attendants (with code share partner concurrence). The person requesting a jumpseat must present either an Independence Air employee ID card or a 2005 Independence Air pay stub. The requester must also present their valid Airman Certificate for pilots, or Flight Attendant Certificate for F/As.

Good luck guys!

A heartfelt "Thanks" to all who have helped. It has been my pleasure to offer multiple seats to folks from every imaginable carrier (I took 8 Jet Blue jump seaters to JFK one day, and a Delta FA [don't know how she made it passed the gate agent, but let her ride too.]). This is a stressful time for us, but you guys are making it much better. Your kindness won't be forgotten, and I can't wait until I'm in a position again to repay the kindness. All the best.

Midwest Connect just hired two former FLYI mechs. Both of them know the D328 pretty well. good guys too

I bet they have plenty of experience changing engines and swapping 1VE panels!

Ex Indy pilot here...

My first post on here. This is the first thread I saw. I just had to read it.

Although I didnt have a need to use the offers extended by you folks/companies, it is very nice to see the offers were extended.

For all, it was just helping out a fellow pilot and professionalism. Good job by all. Especially with UAL. Nice post. Its tough to express, as a commuter how much this offer of help means.

Thanks to all. FWIW...

yes as a matter of fact hehe. I think Pratt has finally cured their ailing 306B with a 4th redesign of the turbine blades. Since we got all ours changed over to the new design we haven't had to pull one off unscheduled...yet. I guess that is the result when you select an engine designed for a biz jet and put it into commercial service.

Couple that with the fact that ACA never did reduced thrust takeoffs until about the last 6 months of the aircraft being there. I think they did like 350 engine changes on 33 DoJets in the same amount of time that they did 80 or so on our 87 CRJ fleet.

Reduced what takeoffs?...........

Damn, so maybe we don't want any of ACAs old 328's. Skyway is rumored to be looking to expand their jet fleet

Anyone heard how the asset auction/sell off went? I think it was suppose to be sometime last month, and I believe someone has mentioned that United got the G gates, but how bout the rest? Did all the planes just end up back with the leasers?
