A vote for the RIGHT TEAM, not a self-interest coalition of clowns sponsored by ASA Management:
Dear fellow pilots,
We want to take a moment and describe our goals as candidates for your elected representatives in ALPA’s LEC 112 election. Our first and most important goal is the completion of a new contract. We are optimistic that the current MEC will reach a tentative agreement before any of us would take office in March; however, if circumstances arise that prevent reaching an agreement by then, we are prepared to skillfully finish the task. We support the portions of the agreement that have already been tentatively agreed upon in their entirety by the ALPA negotiating committee. Some of those parts include:
Section 13 - Scheduling
This information has already been released through various channels by the CNC, but we want to give credit to some of the work they have accomplished, which includes:
We won’t lay claim to work that has already been accomplished, but should the new contract still be in negotiations when we take office, we will focus on:
Our main mission in filling these offices will be to ensure that every pilot who wants one can enjoy a solid, secure future at this airline. Every captain, every first officer and every instructor pilot has a stake in this contract and WE WILL LEAVE NO PILOT BEHIND! All of our pilots deserve a raise; we deserve a contract that allows for growth; and our instructors need to be adequately compensated for their diligent work. Our desire is to find a balance that allows the company to grow while adequately addressing our financial and quality of life needs.
A fair and equitable collective bargaining agreement with appreciable gains can not be delivered by any four-member coalition. But together, as an integrated union with all of us working collectively toward this goal, we will achieve exactly that.
Once a fair contract is obtained we must ensure that the pilot group is adequately informed and educated on the terms of the new agreement. It is imperative that management follows the agreement so we can enjoy its benefits as intended. We will represent your interests for the duration of the three-year term of our elected office. We will encourage management to work with us to provide a safe, friendly working environment.
Our mission will not end with ratification of a new contract. We will be on hand to assist any pilot who needs help, whether it is for individual representation for disciplinary reasons, issues with leaves of absence, FAA interactions, whatever the need might be.
As caretakers of the MEC, our intent will be to make sure that all of our ALPA committees are provided with the support they need to carry out their objectives. We will work to represent your interests at our union’s national level. We will also work with the ALPA organizing committee at SkyWest to help bring our union to them.

Dear fellow pilots,
We want to take a moment and describe our goals as candidates for your elected representatives in ALPA’s LEC 112 election. Our first and most important goal is the completion of a new contract. Section 13 - Scheduling
This information has already been released through various channels by the CNC, but we want to give credit to some of the work they have accomplished, which includes:
- Improvements to integration; Swapping in initial open time; Daily future open time bidding;Conflicting trips with vacation dropped w/ pilot optional back fill; New rescheduling/reassignment rules to address “airport standby”; Improvements to Extensions and Junior assignments; A totally new reserve system which includes:
- 12 hour long call
- 6 GDO’s Preferences for on call periods
- A seniority based call out system
- Pilot access to scheduling data
We won’t lay claim to work that has already been accomplished, but should the new contract still be in negotiations when we take office, we will focus on:
- Pay rates that reflect our contribution to our company’s success and – through periodic cost-of-living adjustments – keep us competitive through the life of the agreement. The rates we seek will accomplish this and still allow the company to grow, remain competitive and enjoy continued profits;Retro pay;Scope language that protects the ASA pilots and includes a no furlough clause; Trip and duty rigs; Keeping our instructor pilots fairly compensated; Increased days off for all pilots;
- Increased Company contributions to our 401(k) and a cap on out-of-pocket insurance premiums.
Our main mission in filling these offices will be to ensure that every pilot who wants one can enjoy a solid, secure future at this airline. Every captain, every first officer and every instructor pilot has a stake in this contract and WE WILL LEAVE NO PILOT BEHIND!
