I think that I want to learn to glide. I also think that I might want to buy a glider. I have arranged with an old airline friend of mine who is a CFIG to start teaching me. Any advice?

Also, where is the best place to start looking if I wanted to buy a glider? They are kinda hard to find.

What are some of the best models to own? Price?

Powered? Good or bad? Price?

Preformance?

I know nothing!!! I would eventually like to add a CFIG to my tickets as well! I have not been this excitied about the idea of flying for a long time!

Chilhowee...

I don't think I can spell....but....Chilhowee, I think I spelled it right.

Call them. Ask the owner. She owns the place. She is an A&P/IA and CFIG also.

Anyway she sends out info all the time on gliders for sale. Ask her to put you on her email tree. Then everytime she has a lead on a glider it comes your direction.

I love it there. It has great ridge soaring.

She performed my transition to glider. It was a great experience. I rent and give rides....fun all the way around.

Your CFIG should have some good idea of gliders for sale too. If you are in the Chilhowee area go take a look see.

You'll love the soaring.

Good Luck
