You are misinformed. It normally has to do with residency and having the correct certificates not citizanship. There are exceptions but you could work most anywhere if you meet those requirements. You also normally have to speak the language.
 
Yeah, your buddy needs to get naturalized. What do you mean he can't get a job, there's plenty of CFI or even 135 companies that would be interested in a guy with that kind of time.

I don't understand. My best buddy has about 2000TT and close to 1000 multi (500 Navajo time and the rest C-421C). He's of Dutch nationality with a Temp. Green Card, Work Permit and a Social Security #. He can't find a job anywhere. Im guessing because he's not a US Citizen and when people see his resume and see an akward name, their like "forget this, he probably can't hardly talk the language", etc...

Can anybody help here?

Yeah, go try to get that residency and work permit.......

On the other hand, if pilots come here with the intentions of becoming citizens and staying, instead of building up hours and leaving like some kind of "fill-er-up" for their logbooks, then its great.
