Alright so we know that most pilots are conservative in both the political and economic preferences. We talk about the Free Enterprise system and yet asking for money from our goverment to save GB and et al buttocks is any form of laisse faire. We critisize (sic) unions only to later complain about the fact that we get no help from its members. When we are in the money we feel like the Duponts and complain about to much goverment regs and our hard earn tax dollars going to all the welfare , medicare etc. The when the shineola hits the fan we complain. To quote Bill , What gives guys ?

What's the difference between a jet engine and a pilot?

You can shut a jet engine off and it quits whining!

We're pilots, We whine thats the way it is and has always been!

I don't think I follow your sentence from the mention of the Free Enterprise System. Do you have specific comments or questions?

It's a shame we can't access the old board material. I'd refer you to our "lively" posts from the summer and fall.

We have had a great number of these threads here on economics and politics. Feel free to PM me with your questions.
