Awww, that's nice..

The first Legacy bashfest.. good times.

I propose a new thread, "Legacy Bashfest II - The sequel!"

or, "Legacy Bash Redux"

or, "Beat those dead horses, boys!"

Here, I'll start:

The Legacy is the Gulfstream for deaf midgets on a budget.

SoundBarViolatr is right you were totally spanked, LD! And it had nothing to do with the quantity of your detrators and everything to do with the quality of your aircraft, the WSCOD!

Not only is the Gulfstream 20 percent larger, it flies faster, farther and higher. It's the difference between a Porsche and a Geo Metro.

Reliability a virtue? The G has a 20 year warranty, tell me again how long the warranty is on the "reliable" Legacy. Oh, wait. I remember, it's 5 years.

I think you said that Embraer doesn't have to guarantee it won't fall apart for more than 60 months because it never breaks. Huh? Using that logic the Brazilians could guarantee the Weasel (sorry that's what it looks like to me) for a century.

Get a grip, dude.

No offense, but maybe you should get a grip.

You can have an unlimited warranty on the Legacy if you want it, and unlike the G-Whiz it won't cost a fortune when something does break to fix it.

If your mission is 13 people over 3000 NM or 8 people 3250NM then the Legacy is a good option. It's cheaper per mile than the competition...

OTOH, if you have an ego that is beyond satiating then don't buy it.

:)

I think I should stop now before my words are twisted some more... How do you guys keep dragging me into this any way?

Regards all.

So, the Brazilians will garantee the WSCOD for a century. How much does this first-of-it's-kind in the industry "unlimited warranty" cost? This beats even a lifetime guarantee.

You might be right about Gulfstream components costing more to replace after the warranty period than Weasel parts, but, hey, premium components would always cost more than Legacy parts made from recycled Bravara beer cans.

As long as your passengers don't mind going low and slow in a small, dark cabin. Only Tom Cruise could walk upright in that thing!

Small dark cabin? For my money there is zero difference between the Legacy cabin and the G-String's (II, III, IV). I can't stand upright in the latter either.

The Legacy cabin is hardly small or dark. You are speaking like someone who has clearly never seen one. Hey, if two extra inches of cabin height are worth 11M bucks then by all means buy the G-350...

*shrug*

The Weasel's dark cabin has leetle tiny windows compared to the G's 14 giant oval windows and it's four inches, not two, which in some circumstances can make a lot of difference.

Wow, I'm not really a veteran of the corporate aviation world, but as long as you aren't stuck in something awful like a Shorts, doesn't pay and QOL mean more than what you are flying?

Four inches without a dropped aisle, two inches with. Nobody has ever been bothered enough by the cabin height to order the dropped aisle. OBVIOUSLY the people who write the checks are satisfied with the Legacy's cabin.

Our airplane has very large windows (well above average), and plenty of them, so I am not sure where you get off on calling them small. Relatively speaking, compared to a Gulfstream my house has small windows. Big deal. I have never been particularly impressed with Gulfstream's windows...but obviously you are and that's your perogative. No offense taken and none intended.

For a high cycle environment, 13 pax, and 3250NM range large (super midsize) cabin airplane the Legacy is hard to beat.
