Hypothetical ? concerning ASA and Skywest

Just curious how a merger or buyout would work with Skywest being non-Union and ASA being Union. (Assuming Skywest bought ASA). This seems like a disastrous scenario.

That would depend on the merger and fragmentation language contained in the ASA PWA. I'm assuming that the Skywest folks have no such contractual language as a non-union carrier. The list integration would most likely occur in accordance with ALPA policy. I don't suspect it wouldn't be that difficult to integrate the lists. With very similar equipment doing essentially the same thing, feed, the lists could be combined with ratios, seat protection and some fences. Everyone would basically stay in the same relative position on the seniority list post acquisition as they had pre acquisition.
