COMMENTARY
Hiring only the best

uhhhhh....so there is no interview?! Is this a cargo op? Oh yeah...and how much do they want you to pay them to get put on the RSPV list? haha!

This is a single/twin engine cargo operator. With regional hiring minimums coming down it is becoming increasingly difficult to find qualified 135 pilots. It is even more difficult if all you have to offer new hires is single engine flying for a while. I don't think it is either humorous or sad, just the current situation.

What?

3) 75 instrument (50 of whick must be in actual flight, not actual IMC)

This means what? Doesn't actual IMC mean something like, lets see, ACTUAL IMC!
Wouldn't that be in something that could actually go "actual IMC"?
Am I missing something here???

This is nothing more than a hoax, and a screwed up one at that.

Check out 135.243(c). A lot of CFI's read the reg and don't understand the instrument requirement - out of 75 hours total of instrument time 50 has to be in actual flight, i.e. an aircraft, either actual IMC or simulated (hood). The other 25 can be in an approved simulator.

The job poster was just trying to explain it better so that more people would apply, me thinks. In fact, I had a friend who was a 1500 hour CFI and I mentioned to him that he could go fly freight and he said he didn't meet the requirements, because he thought he needed 50 hours of actual IMC...

And it does sound like flight express, another poster on here posted the actual ad with their name on it. They're working on getting more barons so you don't have to spend much time in the 210, which is what turns people off I'm assuming.

Look at the bright side...
