Hea lready got his CFII initial, now he's going for his CFI add on and CMEL!! Best of luck mini, still pulling for you!

do a recent search of threads started by him, with yesterday's date. he wrote a fairly long post telling about the experience. he did well, needless to say.

Congrats mini, your'e 1/2 way to poverty with the rest of us!:D

Hey there guys...did the CFI add on today and it was....interesting. A pass, but interesting to say the least.

Hey Mini...I'm sitting here in the computer lab, due a cx class, and, even though it's only 0820 your time I wanted to wish you luck for your CMEL ride! :)

And after that I want to wish you luck for the drive back to OK after 18 hours with the wife.... :D

You'll get it...have a fun ride. That has to be kind of stressful taking that many checkrides so close together.

Got it yay!

So now I've got all that I care to for now (might add the MEI later if I can get a job doing MEI stuff).

MEL ride was pretty easy...OEI stuff wasn't all that hard...we actually got a SE climb...I was pretty shocked...

It was definitely stressful 4 checkrides in 7 days...yikes...

But being with the wife, I'm able to let off some stress...of course I am still on here  (im a dumbass)

Anywho...thanks for the kind wordees...now I need a job...and a new car...

mine broke down before we even got out of Norman so I'm stuck at a freakin hotel

Awsome! I just renewed my CFI through a FIRC recently. One of my co-workers had the gall to ask why I keep the rating up...duh? I worked too hard to get that one to just let it "expire".

I never thought I would say this, but I think I need to get back into doing some CFI'ng. My job is great, but I don't have that much contact with people anymore and the routine of the job is killing me. Maybe taking on a student now and then will help get some of their enthusiasm to rub off on me.

Ouch...good luck.

Checkout my post at the end of CFII Initial thread. I'm curious to hear more input.

I just passed my CFI initial down in Clearwater, FL. The ASI's at the FSDO's in Florida were way too busy investigating so I was sent to a DPE. I assume this will happen to most in Florida. I drove their from North Carolina and it was worth it.

Can't stress enough how much the FAA and the DPE's they like insist on having all FOI concepts etc.. memorized. They must know of too many crappy instructors who can't "teach".

hey mini, go get a job at epic aviation in new smirnoff beach, FL. i'm heading down for a visit soon and i'd love to be your first experiment/victim... :)

Word...FOI is a big part of the initial oral...at least for me it was. He knew after a couple questions that I had it, but the guy with me struggled...

Whatever you do, don't say, "oh..that's REEPIR...Readiness, Effect, etc" and other acronyms...

Other than that, FOI isn't a big deal...not hard stuff.
