Does anybody know how to go about getting the required FCC radio permit/license required by 121 carriers?? I went to the FCC website with no luck, figured I'd try here before calling in and dealing with the red tape...

Thanks in advance...

Seeing it's your first post, I might offer this tidbit of advice, as well.

Search before you ask - - A quick search on "FCC permit" brings up many, many threads where this question has been asked and answered. There's a fair chance that your next question has been discussed before, too.

Two advantages to this approach:

1) You don't have guys posting insults at you for not searching :)

2) You find the answer more quickly - - no need to wait for a response.

Welcome to FlightInfo - - hope you enjoy it, and hope it's as helpful to you as it has been to me.

Dangit! I didn't know I HAD to insult him!

I didn't get the memo...

I didn't say you HAVE to - - I was predicting someone WOULD ! :)

(Another common denominator on FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit threads is the obligatory "It's been discussed before! Why didn't you search? Blah, blah, blah..." post. I thought I'd just beat 'em to the punch with a polite way of saying the same thing.)

I think it's part of the Rules of the Internet that you must insult others whenever the opportunity arises, with the exception of moderators/administrators.
