I'm curious what led you wanting to apply at Great Lakes?

Not trying to start anything here... just merely curious.

What are your times? Colgan is hiring like mad, apply through airlineapps.com.

I sent Great Lakes a resume through email and they sent me an email back pretty quick stating that they would review it. Have you done your research on Great Lakes? I've read nothing good except an upgrade time in the ballpark of one year. Turbine PIC is supposedly gold.

Turbine PIC is earned there. Try 8-9 legs a day and short overnights day after day after day. Oh, and they don't pay you enough to eat. But you get that turbine PIC! Someday you might get to use it when you apply to a major, say 2009 or 2010. Maybe I'm just a slacker, but I'll take an APU, 12 hour overnight, and wait another year or two for captain.

I was in your shoes a couple years ago. I really wanted to work at Great Lakes. Everyone I met said to hold off. In retrospect, I'm glad I did.

Now that's not to say that your situation is the same or even similar to mine, but realize what you're asking for before you commit. With that said, I haven't met anyone who has anything bad to say about the pilots there. That is important.
