I hope this isn't a dead horse being kicked again but can a new pilot coming out of a school actually get a decent overseas contract? BTW, would it matter if I am 40+ yrs. old and shaving?? Maybe there is a thread about this already that you can point me towards too?

Thanks!

All of the good contracts I have been looking at require 4,000TT and a type rating in the aircraft with 500 hours PIC in type.

Nope. In fact, it could hurt you. Many of the companies overseas want to see experience commensurate with age.

Check PPRUNE, look at the Africa section, there are a ton of guys with low time looking for work flying 206s and Caravans in the bush.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
