Involving Luftansa and Jetblue...I don't think we gave up any control...the have just a 19% cut and one seat on the board...

They don't call the shots...but i'm sure there are/were some terms agreed on.

Hi flyipilot,

1. The $100M was pre planned according to the guys writing the check, in order to BUY more planes. Google search the news last week if you want the direct quote from the biggest stockholder (no, not RB).

2. The publicity was to counter a stock analyst speculating we were next to fold. Um, Mr. Analyst, we are a private company, so why are you saying these things? To try to drive down bookings maybe?

3. The motion to suppress earnings (or lack thereof) is available under DOT rules. May not get it but why not ask. This is a competitive business.

4. Will we make it? Anything can happen and the cost of fuel is hurting everybody. WN controls the pricing with their hedges and market share, not us.

All I can say is do you think the investors will fold so quickly after the hard fought battle for DOT approval? BTW, I ride JS to work as there are few to none seats open in back.

Hope all is well with you these days. Come give us a try the next time we are going your way. It ain't a private jet, but it is a pretty incredible product. More than we ever dreamed of back at FlyI...

Ralphie

And now we are running in the 80% during the week and high 90's on weekends. ;)

It just isn't all about LF unfortunately. We (JB) always had a healthy LF for BNA...but couldn't get the yeild up...which is why we pulled and put those ships on routes waaay more profitable.

I've heard Virgin America is trying to get the DOT to keep their info confidentional and they don't want to play by the rules.

and just where pray-tell did you "hear" this?

I love the internet! Where fact is fiction and fiction is fact!

That's not what I just heard from one of your senior check airman. He said system wide loads are still in the toilet.

Not what I've seen.. travelled on two flights in the past few days and both were full.. SFO-SEA and SFO-LAX.

More over, be worried about any of your passengers having a choice between you and VA.. I can see some willing to pay more for the experience, it was like nothing I've seen in a domestic airline. Not since I flew on Asiana or Singapore did I get such good service.
