I was asked in an interview a while ago, interviewer:
"Let's say that we were on a four day trip. Six legs each day and you and the captain are stressed and tired. You go up stairs to change and you come down to the hotel restaurant and the captain has a beer with about 1/2 of it gone. It is about 8 hours from scheduled report time. The captain says that he lost track of time and he is very sorry and quits drinking right then. The company policy is no drinking within 12 hours. What do you do?"

Let's get your .02 cents...

Interview answer: I tell the captain that he needs to call in sick for the trip the next morning. Since I am sure the company only hires proffesionals, the captain will realize that is the right thing to do and call in sick.
On the line: Finish his beer for him, order a burger, and go to bed.

Simple. Tell them you'd whip out your digital camera and take a date and time stamped photo and then ask the captain for 10,000.00 USD to delete the photo. That is, if you're in a state where extortion is not against the law.

Selfish bastadge. He started drinking without you?

BTW, who set the beer buzzer off last, him or you?

Hell, thats an easy one. "Order a cold beer for yourself," is the only logicl answer to this question. And Reverse, you're right, he is selfish and not much of a team player.

Turn the question around...

Ask the interviewer if he's stopped flogging his dolphin in the lav yet...

I hate that question. They always seem to ask it though, and no matter what answer you give, you still sound like a dork.

Had a candidate give an honest answer once in an interview. He simply stated that he's seen it before in a previous job, and wasn't going to get all bent out of shape about it. He said something like: "The fact is that yes, the CA is past the company policy. However we both know that this has happened before and will continue to happen. If the CA had one beer, I'm not going to sweat it or lose sleep over it. If in the morning, he comes down drunk or less than full capacity, then it's time for a sick call for both of us. Otherwise, he meets the 8 hours required by the regs and I'm not going to stir the pot, cause potential crew issues, delays, cancellations and headaches for either the company or this pilot."

Not saying that I necessarily recommend that approach for every employer, but we hired him and were impressed with his honesty. (Other qualifications certainly came into play too... but his answer didn't disqualify him)

My favorite question was: "You're on your overnight and just arrived at the hotel. You quickly change to meet your crew for dinner and head down to the lobby. As your crew arrives in the lobby, the captain comes down and is wearing a dress and makeup. What do you do?" It was amazing some of the answers that people came up with...

Ask her if she is married, since she is makeing twice to three times as much as you.

Thanks for the replies.
My answer was:
"If the 12 hour rule is broken then the capt needs to call in sick. If he won't then I will. ect.ect......"

Later.
