The ever-increasing fuel prices got me thinking...how much does a gallon of jet-a have to cost before corporations begin rethinking/cancelling certain trips?

One of the corporations that we fly for has instituted a "3 pax" policy. If there aren't three people on board, the plane doesn't fly (we haven't cancelled many flights due to this though).

Across the board we are limiting our speed to Mach .80 in the -10's and -900's and only .76 in the -20's. We are noticing decent fuel savings at the cost of only a few minutes.

For the super-rich it does not matter.

These people are un-willing to get on the airlines and they are unwilling to stay at home.

What is the spread on fuel savings vs MSP? In particular on the 900 with MSP costs around $400/hour.

If your company cuts back its flying due to fuel prices you are in trouble.

Brush up that resume pronto!

Airplanes are used to make/save time. time is money -- once a beancounter or nervous owner starts counting the fuel pennies and decides to slow the flying.....look out.
