I guess that I did go off the deep end, there, and you're absolutely right, that IS what I said in the original post. I was stressing over something unrelated, and there you were. Thanks for your extremely restrained response, and I appreciate the advice.

I think a CFI should always charge by the whole day or half day. No hourly wages. $200 for half a day and $400 for the whole day. I charge more than this but the fees I've suggested here are fair.
