The limits for bringing booze INTO Canada (as per the original poster's question) is NOT set by US Customs. It is set by Canadian customs, and there is no difference between the amount crews and "normal" people can bring in. It is possible and probable that often the Custom's officer doesn't care with crews, and/or does not enforce it, but the rules are still there. One 1 LITER bottle of booze (not the 1.75 biggies) is all that is allowed. Canada has not used QUARTS in decades.
Are you bringing it into Canada a present, or are you drinking it on your overnight? Wow, someone must be thirsty!
If you bring back more booze than you're entitled to, you'll have to pay the same duties and penalties anyone else would, and you'll have your liquor confiscated. You'll also increase the chances of the flight crew lanes at customs going away, so don't ruin it for everyone.
