1 bottle in yow, yul and yyz. I don't think it matters which port of entry you clear customs in. Crews have different rules regarding duty free than the pax. You can always get another crew member who isn't buying anything to carry additional bottles for you.

Customs has always told me it's one bottle for crews, two bottles for everyone else. That said, I buy 1.75L bottles in Mexico and they never say anything. A guy I was flying with tried to bring two 1L bottles of Scotch and the customs guy lectured him, but let it go.

The limits are set by US Customs, and are not different for flight crews. It's just that flight crews breeze through customs, and hardly ever get checked.

If you bring back more booze than you're entitled to, you'll have to pay the same duties and penalties anyone else would, and you'll have your liquor confiscated. You'll also increase the chances of the flight crew lanes at customs going away, so don't ruin it for everyone.

The rules are different for crews. The limit is published on the back of the Crew Declaration. One Quart per crew member of booze.

The limits for bringing booze INTO Canada (as per the original poster's question) is NOT set by US Customs. It is set by Canadian customs, and there is no difference between the amount crews and "normal" people can bring in. It is possible and probable that often the Custom's officer doesn't care with crews, and/or does not enforce it, but the rules are still there. One 1 LITER bottle of booze (not the 1.75 biggies) is all that is allowed. Canada has not used QUARTS in decades.

Are you bringing it into Canada a present, or are you drinking it on your overnight? Wow, someone must be thirsty!

Not that many Canadian Customs areas have a crew line anymomre, and those that do, I doubt that the line would be eliminated because of someone who brought more than they were allowed to. However, for what it is worth, I suggest NOT lying about the amount you have.... although Candaian Customs will often let you through, with perhaps a lecture (or take it away), as long as you are honest, you have no worries.. if you LIE to a Customs person, it is against Canadian law, and you could find yourself in a LOT of trouble.. including not being able to travel to Canada for a period of time..hardly worth it.
