Seems like the seniority is going up quick!

Yep! Seem like its starting to turn into a Pilots market!

Almost reminds me of the days of PFT! All the sudden nobody goes to the PFT airlines and it goes away.
Now folks are leaving all the shi$$y paying airlines and you might soon see management reaching into there pockets now.

Well, lets hope so!

Wow you are right, I shot way up. I am wondering though if thats from the last 2 to 3 months because mine hasn't changed in a couple months. Now it changed a bunch, I feel like they only update it every couple months..maybe they can't keep up.

This is what I have been trying to tell everyone. The market is going to demand better wages and qol just to keep pilots at all airlines. They will need to do this just to keep the flying they have not to mention trying to grow. If we vote ALPA at Colgan we will have to remain in "status quo" until a contract is signed (2-3 years). Meaning, it will slow up the process of getting hirer pay and better work rules. Now is not the time for ALPA in my opinion.

Hey Mikey, next time you try to brainwash people into beleiving "if you would take a look at your workrules, you would be impressed" BS letter, maybe you would'nt be losing soooooo many pilots a month to other airlines! HA!!!!!!!!!!

Hey, all I'm saying is it might not be the right time. If you want to get pissy about it, you're on your own. Sometimes it is better to use your brain instead of your emotions.

First of all, Supply and Demand in the airline business? Come on now, you've been here long enough to know better. No one has raised pay to attract more pilots. Companies are offering signing bonuses to attract NEW pilots, but the current ones are seeing nothing. Management rather have a short term fix (signing bonuses) then raise pay and have to deal with those pay scales once they have an adequate supply. They knew when they purchased those Q400s that staffing would be an issue (if they didn't then they shouldn't be in management in the first place) and the payscale they put out didn't address it did it?

Second, what you say about if we get ALPA makes no sense. If it takes 2-3 years to get a contract, wouldn't that say management isn't willing to give raises and better work rules in the first place? If they are willing to give pay raises and better rules there should be no reason why it would take 2-3 years. Just because ALPA is on the property doesn't mean they can't pay more. It just has to be agreed upon by both sides. For example CHQ offered pilots more $$ for overtime then in their contract when staffing shortages dictated the need.

yeah, my number stayed the same for like 3 months then shot way up. I'm not sure how often they update the thing, but there is no shortage of ppl leaving lately. Seems like a lot of the movement is coming from the senior side of the house.

You are making it sound like ALPA is tying management's hands. Seriously? There is nothing that says we must negotiate for 2-3 years.

If Management wants to give the Colgan pilots higher pay, I'm confident that they will have few hurdles to overcome, and it could happen within a week.

Honestly, do you really think that Management will give adequate raises? How long have you worked here? they had an opportunity to give FO's a bump in pay to retain more. they bumped the 2nd year pay to 26. That is so shy of what it would take to keep an FO here it is not even funny. It is actually kind of scary how out of touch either they are, or they think we are.

Not the way it works, my friend. "Status quo" can be waived by the Association to allow higher payrates if management asks for it.

You hit the nail on the head. Most, if not all the FO's that leave aren't really unhappy about the pay. They hated the lack of work rules. This isn't some on demand charter company. You have things planned after work and before you know it your on a ferry flight to BGR. Let me fly the trips I bid on and leave me alone!!!!!!!!!!

You got that right! I have spoken to several former Colgan FO's who all say the same thing:

wow, things are so awesome over here at _______ I don't have to put up with any of the b.s. anymore. You guys really need a union.

You like accumulators in your HYD system? Or do you want to feel every pressure change of the market system.....??

According to your logic, when the market reverses then so will pay, work rules etc...
