In Germany or England the term people use is "Merry Christmas", but over here that may upset someone who dosen't celebrate Christmas, hence the use of "Happy Holidays".

So what's wrong with offending someone? If you don't celebrate that holiday, simply smile and nod. Better yet.. Someone says Merry Christmas, you can say Happy Chanukah... or Happy Kwanza, or Happy whatever!!!!!

Stop being politically correct and enjoy life!!!!!!!!!!

So I don't completely hijack the thread. It takes about 7-8 weeks at Colgan to go from day 1 through IOE in most cases on both aircraft. $350 a week during training I think.

That was the point of my reply, who gives a sh!t if you p!ss someone off!

The traing at Comair takes about 8 weeks, I just finished training last week, but I was going from the Brasilia to the RJ, and that took about 7 weeks. They give newhires 10 sim sessions, that takes about 2 and a half weeks (due to all the days off you get).

Good luck.
