Where are you now? You still at Atlantic North?
Still around. JetSouth...err...Atlantic West. I'd say let's get together and play some golf, I just don't know when that would be.
 
Four F/T pilots on two aircraft flying about 800 and 700 hours a year each, 91 only. When the boss acquired the second aircraft, CP went to bat to hire 3 and was nixed. On the plus side, we have a pretty generous budget to use contract pilots and getting time off has never been a problem. Is it ideal ? No. Flying that many hours should easily justify 6 pilots. As stated before, the reality is that high pilot-to-aircraft ratios is becoming less and less common, particularly in the small to mid-size flight departments. In my case, I've had 85 to 90% of my weekends off and the most consecutive days on the road has been 6, happening only once in 5 years. Typically 1 to 4 day trips. In the current environment, you have to focus on the positive.
