How does the earmold attach to the PEV-77?

I just bought a PEV-77 on eBay. This is the receive-only Telex earpiece with volume control. Here's a link to what it looks like.

I've been told this headset can be modified to accept a custom earmold. Having never had a headset with an earmold, I'm having a little difficulty picturing how the earmold attaches to the earpiece.

Anyone have any experince with this?

Take off the curved plastic earpiece and the rubber earplug and toss 'em... the base of the PEV-77 has a raised round base on it, should be a perfect fit to the hole in a molded earpiece, just snaps right in. At least that's how it worked on mine... dunno if all earmolds are the same.
