I'm based out of and live in Houma...like the reply before, it would probably be better to rent a car and drive to New Orleans. There isn't a whole lot to do in Houma...much better selection of activities to do in New Orleans. It takes a little over an hour to drive from HUM to downtown New Orleans. At HUM, be sure to check out Hammonds Air Service and say hello to Mr. Charlie!

Sorry to hijack the thread LATECHPILOT, but since you work in Houma do you have any information on the job posting for Jet Management? Mainly pay, benefits, QOL, history of company?

I would try to find someone with a flat's boat and go do some Red fishin. I went a few years ago with a friend and had a blast.

Watch out of people that say things like "hey boy, you ain't from around here are you"

Check out the bartender, Jessica, at Copeland's on M.L.K.! She is turning twenty-six, going skydiving soon and is smoking hot!
Big Al's, 1921, and Coco's Marina are suppose to be good places to eat. I'm driving to Avery Island today to check out Tabasco factory. My employer R.O.N.'s us on Bourbon Street all of the time, so I finally got that out of my system.
Convective activity on the way so Red fish fishing should be good......if you got out there at six this morning.

At HUM, be sure to check out Hammonds Air Service and say hello to Mr. Charlie!

You said it! that dude is cool. Feed the parrott, and enjoy a small piece of Aviation HEAVEN!! Get Mr. C to let you in his office, he has a virtual museum of aviation in there.!!

As to what to do in Houma, Nothing.
