If you like golf you'll love it! Great hotels and the the beer is one of the best I've had. Try to stay at Casa de Campo its really nice and on the golf course.

The golf is great if you have $300/round to spend.

The hotel on the property at Casa de Campo is the only game in town. Decent sports bar and great breakfast buffet. Off the property, accomodations get a little sketchy.

Hope you have alot of per diem to spend. Food at Alto Chevon (a little village overlooking the river at CdC) is pretty pricey but ok.

It's a good place to run...er, I mean it's a good place to run for "normal" people. ;) Have fun. BTDT. TC

P.S.--Say hi to Rebecca for me (N62MS)

Ok, Casa de Campo it is. Sounds like fun for a couple of nights. Thanks for the tip AA717. Not too hard running...marathon in two weeks and a 50K trail race a couple after that. I'm in "taper-mode".

I've read good reviews of Casa de Campo.

One more suggestion.

We stayed at the Sol Melia at Bavaro beach last spring and it was very nice, and very reasonably priced.

Green fees were included in the hotel charge, but cart fee was about $35 if I remember right. The course was fantastic.

As far as running...I ran around and through the course early every morning.

Stayed at Casa de Campo. A bar and a hotel room. YOu pretty much figured after you went through the guarded gate that you aren't leaving the compound.
