Over 10 years ago while out job-hunting I stopped by their flight department to drop off a resume' and by chance the CP was there. They were not looking for anyone at the moment, but he was more than gracious, and took the time to show me around, sit down and talk, and told me to keep updating my resume with him. He seemed like a down-to-earth, first-class guy running a first-class operation, and was well-supported by the company.
When I read that article I noticed he was still there, and my bet is that the culture inside that department is one you would be happy with, since who's running the show plays big into that equation.
As I recall their salaries ran a little higher than those up in Minneapolis since they are located out in the Austin "wilderness". I don't know if that's still true today, however.
