Horizon Air!

I interviewed there last week, and here is what I learned - both directly and indirectly:

Direct info:

No new airplanes until later this year when they are expecting 2 RJ's. As usual, this could change.

As of last week, I was told there would not be another class until the end of the year. This, too, is subject to change(s), and also doesn't jive with the 'need' for 100 pilots as stated below.

All the folks at my interview session had 2500+ hours in all sorts of operations, from jet charter to flight instruction/135 charter (this might give you some idea of competitive times).

Indirect info:

Rumor mill is saying that they are going to hire 100 pilots this year. For some reason, this sounds kind of high to me - it just doesn't jive with the info above.

Wish I had more firm info for ya. Info seem to be changing weekly, but the good news its its all good news! Hopefully someone else can add to this....

Best of luck

Horizon FA's

Did the mention if they still recruite their flight attendants from the local fat farm?

Better than the local old folks home. ;)
