QX drivers, got a few questions for you.

1. How long are newhires sitting reserve for each airplane?

2. How long to hold any hardline?

3. Are newhires going into the Dash? Or all three airplanes?

Thanks for the help.

Peace

1 & 2 - all depends on when you get hired, into which airplane, and which base.

3 - I think the next couple of classes are for the Dash 200.

Someone can probably give you more specific answers... I was hired Oct 2003 into the RJ in DEN, was on reserve for about 6 months, held a composite line for the next year, and this year have been holding a line.

The other important question... how long to upgrade. Last I heard, it was running 7 to 8 years.

Two of the DEN FO's got an upgrade class for September. Their hire date is Sept 1999.

Reserve

Unless something drastic happens the time spent on reserve will be measured in years. On a different note. I've heard that some of our Q400's might be parking for lack of engine parts. Not one of them makes it to TBO and they are crackin cases like crazy. P&W has very few spares and the new parts to fix the problem might take a while to make. This could be a very ugly fall schedule.

Reserve in the DEN base is well over a year now with no relief in sight. The Dash's move more quickly.
