I no longer work for Horizon, but I do remember ferrying a Dash on a ferry permit from SEA to PDX mx b/c of an inop ECU.

We've got 100's, 200's, and 300's.

We can still operate with an inop ECU/EEC on all three models. I may wrong on the 300, I'd have to look it up.

Anyone at Horizon have the reasoning behind not obtaining the MEL authorization to go w/o an operative ECU?

I don't think QX operates -300's. Isn't that Q400's instead of -300's?
Don't mean to interupt.......

I think everyone here should know the reason for this post in the first place. A Pilot at "PDT" was suspended for following company and MEL procedures. An ECU was INOP on one of our aircraft and a Captain refused to fly it because the TAF and METAR both proved that the runways would be VERY wet at the destination airport. THE MEL FORBIDS LANDING AT AN AIRPORT WITH A CONTAMINATED RUNWAY. As far as I am concerned the Capt at PDT should win the "Medal of Honor" for following company and FAA procedure correctly.

Anybody else have a problem with that???
